Let the Travel Begin

Well guys...the time is truly near...we anticipate going to get "TAD" our Vintage 1990 Prevost/Marathon Bus Conversion this weekend.

With regard to that anticipation we are completing the "move-out" of our bedroom at the "stick house", packing the "Vetta" with all that we will need for a week to 10 days for our "shake-down" run at Old Oak Ranch in Sonora.

Tomorrow morning...we will truly be "HOMELESS"!

We will be staying at Ed and Susie's home at the Ranch until we can physically go get the long awaited "TAD". We believe that at least by Tuesday we will have him in our clutches. Or at least that is the hoped-for plan.

We will be checking our e-mail and adding to our blog. The cell service up there is really bad so our phone will probably not work unless we are in town or somewhere other than up on the hill.

Keep us in your thoughtds and prayers...that this truly becomes a "done deal". We are ready to get on with this full time retirement lifestyle...

Mommy has just as much fun as Isabelle...It is so wonderful watching your kids teach your grand kids... The Aquatic Park in Roseville is really wonderful...I never knew it was there...Kaley had taken her lessons at the new Rocklin High School. She is quite a fish too!

Ya' gotta' blow those bubbles!!!
They both did a really good job!

We are still waiting for "TAD" To be ours...it won't be long now ... maybe 9 or 10 days more!!! We tied a knot in the end of the rope and we are hangin' in there!!! Not long to go now!!! Then we get to go!!! Posted by Picasa
This was Swimming Lessons today...those little kids have so much fun...Isabelle simply loves the water...I am sure from these pictures will show that very clearly!

She is also quite a clown...already...She will be 2 on the 27th of this month... Posted by Picasa

We are keeping our eyes on the "PRIZE"...It won't be long now...Today Mike got the Explorer detailed on the inside and tomorrow he will do the outside...we will take it to the community college this weekend to try and get it sold...oh yea...he had to replace one of the rear breaks too.

Thursday we will be getting a new windshield for the "Vetta", our "Toad" ... I will have my last dental appointment for this 6mo. on Thursday too. We will have eye appointments when we are here in the first part of November...go to the DR. again then too...

I will go through the computer desk on Thursday or Friday...UCK!!!

We will be off line for a while... while we get all 0f our electronics hooked up and learned...but for the first week that we have "TAD" I will be in Sonora so I can use Susie's computer to up-date my blog...and I will do that...then we will go back to the house to get the rest of our stuff...and take off!!! Hopefully we will have all the technical stuff figured out by then and be online and all that!!!

Anyway that's where we are today...not too exciting right now...still in the "waiting game"

Sure miss Mack!!! Posted by Picasa

***This is our Little Mack-the-Maltese, Today we found out that he had liver cancer/liver failure.***

Two days ago we noticed that he was bloating a little ... he was feeling fine and acting the way he always acts, cute and perky
... but this morning the bloating was worse ... Mike took him to the vet and he came home without our sweet little Mackey.

It was the consencus that he would be much better off if we did the humane thing rather than to wait it out ... he was already in lots of pain and it would not get any better ... so Mike said good-bye to our little boy ... This was truly a big bump in the road for us!

Ever since we rescued Mack 4 years ago he had stolen everyone's hearts ... he was such a sweet little guy and we loved him so much ... even our little Halle (the Mini-Doxie) cried all the time Mike was gone and has not left our sides all day ... do you think they kmow? I do! They love us so ... they feel our feelings, happy or sad!

This picture of Mack-the-Maltese was taken on his first trip to Kaley's house in Oregon, he was so happy ... can't you see that great big smile??? I can!

Well, here we are it is the 5th of August. The attorney will be home from vacation in just 6 more days. Then he will be able to draw up the purchase agreement and we can get out $$$ and then we will be
able to drive "TAD" off into the sunset!
*At least up tp Old Oak Ranch for the first few days so we can get usto it before we take it home to where "people" will be wanting to see it and wanting us to answer questions about all of the intracacies of the coach.
*We are in the grips of cleaning out the rest of the house...(our room)...still condensing more and more.

The pic above is a sail cart!
The pic below is of the girls at the beach
.

The last pic is of Susie's twin grandson's wagon with flowers in it in her back yard at Olds Oak Ranch

We really can't wait to get on the move. I read and re-read the "Escapee Forum" and the blogs of those that I have been watching for some time now. We are looking so forward to meeting all the folks we have met on the "net"...and meet up again with those that we have met already. The time is getting short and we all have "short-timers disease"...Marilee and Dan to get us out and on the road and us to get out and get on the road...This is probably the most that we have ever agreed on anything!!!
