Isn't this simply gerogous!!! There is nothing else to say...

This is a boat...a cattamaran...I really don't know what they use it for...???...Maybe your do?????

After all this fun, we went and got groceries and stopped by Tom and Suzzane & Kaley's to say hello...Tom bought a little travel trailer it is a vintage 60's or 70's Shasta...about 12 or 14 ft...it needs alot of work but it will make a great hunting home!!!

Kaley is trying-out for the Nutcracker tomorrow...then whe is gonna come and spend the evening with us.

Tomorrow we move to our new parking spot! I can't wait for that view!!! Posted by Picasa
When I look at these pictures again I really love the look of this p[lace...not just the "tall ships" but the wholle port and everythinhg up here...it is all so ... nautical! This picture shows the smoke from one of the cannon fireings...that almost dumped me in the "dirnk"!!!

I really do love these ships...I really dont want to ride on won but I love to see them and watch them work the ropes and all that ship-sort-of-stuff!!!

It is the "LYNX" from Prortsmith, Mass.

Is this not just the picture of a little fishing town??? I think they should make a movie here. It is just too picturesque... Posted by Picasa
Is this a cool old boat or what???I just fell in love with it...Mike said that we could have bought a boat...and lived on that!!! I don't think so..............I love my new home, just the way it is!

"The Old Man and the Sea "
Now here comes the ship...It is really cool...they shot off their cannons 3 times and three times I almost ended up in the bay!!! Scared the "pea-wadden" right outta me!!! And the sea gulls scattered like the were as starteled as I was...
Here you can see the sea gulls flying all over!!! It was like a swarm of them instead of a flock!!!

The ship came in...as you can clearly see...by motor not by sails...so I need to go back tomorrow and see if it sails out with her sails up...I sure hope so!!! Posted by Picasa
I have been trying to get this picture for days...I cant seem to get the haziness out of the background...so I guess you just have to see it the way it really is!!!

Mike and Halle contemplating the port.

This is where we had lunch...OH MY GOSH The best meal I have ever had "up here"...ever...I can't wait to go back!!!

I had a "crab melt"...with guryea (I don't kow how to spell that cheese variety...but maybe you will get the picture) OH MY GOSH it was great...served with a chopped iceberg salad with bluecheese and bacon...a nice glass of Pino Gregeio...and pecan creme' brulee...I probably haven't spelled any of those names of "stuff" right but I tell you it was all to die for!!! Mike had this glorious cheddar cheese burger and hand cut fries...they were great too!!!

This is just a directory of the establishments on the port boardwalk...I thought it was unique...

Morning WALK...In the PNW Coastal FOG...it was about 56 degrees...I am glad that happens without me!!! Mike is a very good man. Don't you just love his flannels and Halle's coat that is too big...
This is the Port of Ilwaco , WA. We decided to go and wait for a "tall ship" to come in...we had never seen them up here before...have seen them in SF but not up here!

It was a very foggy day over here today but it did make great pictures !

It always amazes me, when we are up here that people really do go out and fish...for a living...they go our and catch crabs and all the other ocean things that we love to eat...they are real people...with these boats that make a living doing that... Posted by Picasa

Let the Travel BeginWell...today was a quiet day in the PNW...There was lots of sun inland and on the coast we had FOG...I really don't mind fog...Halle had a problem being chilly though. We didn't bring Halle's coat...actually we don't know where hers is and we ar putting Macks on her and it's too big and she almost walks out of it...she just stands there and looks at me like I'm crazy or something...Like "what in the world am I doing in this stupid thing"??? Anyway it keeps her warm...no matter...

Mike worked all day on the waxing of the coach, foggy days are good for that...the sun won't have a chance to srteak the wax...he got the passenger's side done and the front...he is even washing the windows...you know he is quite a guy...all I did today was watch...but I did fix him a really good "Brunch"...and a great "Dinner".

We had visitors today a nice man from SOCAL (Frank)...and our next door neighbors that are from British Colombia (Ann & ???...Frank talked to Mike for a long time this morning... he has a company in SOCAL that sells all kinds of "stuff" for RVers...such as solar systems...video systems, Televisions ... Satelite domes, etc., etc., etc. Ann & ??? have a Harley and they go every day...yesterday they went to play golf...tonight they are going to the Long Beach Tavern to participate in a pool tournament.

Tomorrow we are all going to the Port of Ilwaco to see a "tall-ship" come in to dock... I hope to get some great pictures...I will blog them tomorrow...

I also want to get a picture of Mike polishing the coach too...I should have taken some today...but I just thought of it!!!

We also have to go grocery shopping...I can't bvelieve that it's been a week already since we went shopping...but it has...and I am out of the important stuff...Oh, well...so goes life!!!

Life here is good!!!

Well I know this isn't very exciting today... but some days are just gonna be that way...just wanted you to know...

Now we are on the way back to Long Beaach. Now you can see that the RV Park that we are moving to is "right across the street from the water"!!!

It is funky but very clean and has a view that can't be beat no matter how much you pay for a spot!!! It is only $240.00 per month + cable...WOW...I'm lovein' it!!!

This is the office. Funky...but oh my I just can't wait for that view.......... Posted by Picasa
Well here is the placeI got my hair cut!!! In Astoria...really close to Tom & Suzanne's house.
It is a really cute shop. Just three stylists...kind-of like "Beauty Botique"...I felt very comfortable.

My hair cutr is great...I love it!!! It was only $25.00!!!!

Well this weekend on Mike's 57th birthday...we will be moving...but not to the KOA as we first thought we would...We decided to stop at this funky little RV park that is just across the Megler Bridge from Astoria...This first picture shows it, the RV Park, on the left and the river on the right. You can see the bridge in the background, in the right of the picture.

This is a picture a little closer and shows you the 5er (the one that you can see the door open) in the front...that is the site that we want!!! We could pull straight in and our front window will be apicture every time I look out of it!!! I will be able to see the North Shore of Astoria...the Megler Bridge and the Colombia River to where it pours into the Pacific Ocean!!!

This is just more of the parking sites.

We are on the way to get my hair cut... Posted by Picasa

These are some flower buckets that were outside on the deck by the "Cannery Cafe"... They just looked like they wanted their picture taken...they were saying to me that "the next time I see them it will be raining and they won't be quite as bright"...so I took them up on it and snapped away!!!
I thought that this red leaf plant was a coleous...but it was a type of ivy...It sure is pretty!!! Posted by Picasa
Here is a snap of Mike and the girls having breakfast yesterday morning...Pancakes and Bacon...after the night before...Ribs, potato & green bean salad that the girls hated...I decided it would be their choice for breakfast...

When breakfast was done they went to the beach 'till 2:00PM...then off to dance...and at 5:00PM, it's off to Fultano's Monday Night, "all-you-can-eat" Pizza and Salad...

When we left to go home we saw a cruise ship...the" Norwegean Sea" set sail...and watched the pelicans frolic in the bay...They are just about ready to go South to California for the Winter!

Then there was "me"..."surfing"...playing Solitare and ...and watching TV... Such a view of an old Mema!!!

This morning I just couldn't resist taking this picture of Halle...her bed is on the couch right for laying in the sun in the morning...she loves basking there...but she did sit up to get her picture taken!

This afternoon we went to lunch at the "Cannery Cafe"...Great Chowder and Shrimp Salad for me and a great Cheerse burger and homemade potato chips for Mike!!! I had a lovey glass of white wine...and watched the Colombia River as it passed by...LIFE Is GOOD Posted by Picasa

I just couldn't get over it...every time I go to a Street Market I just go wild...with the food items, the original art work and just the atmosphere...especially here so close to the Colombia River/Pacific Ocean...the smells the air...it is all part of the ambiance...

We bought "green coliflower", those wonderful carrots. Great basil...marionberry pie, perach pie, doggie treats...

Tom, Suzanne, Kaley and Kiley came to have dinner with us, Kaley and Kiley are sleeping over...tomorrow they will get Papa to take them to the beach and to the tide pools...The weather tomorrow is more of what we had today...so they will have a ball...Iwill stay here and organize... Posted by Picasa
Well, here are some more flowers...and hats...I just love the colors of all of this stuff

These hats...can you believe how pretty and bright the colors look...You knoe the days up here are usually dark and dreary so these hats will brighten up any day!!!

These veggies were incredible...I just love all the shapes and colors ...fall is truly my time of the year !!!!!

Look at the color of these pumpkins and the colors...oh my!!!

Everywhere you looked thete was another great color or shape...Mike and Halle just walked along with me and carried the bags...what good partners they are! Posted by Picasa
