Let the Travel BeginWell...here we are...we have been home from Marathon for three days now and everything is still working great...better than ever...
Friday, Mary and Marty Martin our friends from Auburn, who now live in Sherwood, OR. came to see us...Thursday, the day that we were driving home from Coburg was our daughter Marilee's birthday, My friend Susie's son Sam's Birthday and Marty and Mary's 33rd Wedding Anniversary...so Friday they (Mary and Marty) came over here to the coast to celebrate with us...it was so nice. We spent time just visiting and went to Dooger's for an early dinner ... I have started calling this meal "Dunch"...you know...that meal brteeen Lunch and Dinner...I guess you could call it "Linner" too...oh well, you can usually get the lunch prices for "Dunch" and that makes it nice!!!
Saturday we did a little Christmas shopping and grocery shopping...it wasn't rainy but it seems to be getting lots cooler in the daytime...
Today, Sunday...we got up to 60MPH winds and a steady sideways rain...I really don't like that kind of weather...
We went and got Kaley and went to see "Happy Feet". It was really a cute movie, it was a great day to go to the movie. When we came out of the movie the rain had subsided and we took Kaley to Ben's house to work on her Science Fair Project that is due tomorrow ... They did an experiment on how apples rot...now doesn't that sound intetresting????
Then we came home and watched the end of the NASCAR race...it was the last one of this season...we sure hope to go and see some of them "up-close-and-personal", next year. They start up again in Feb.
Casey Mears is the driver that we follow and he was doing really good up until his engine blew with about 7 laps left...we were hoping for the top ten...I'm sure he was too...oh well, there is always next year!!!
I made a pot of homemade Chicken Noodle Soup and we took it to Tom and Suzanne's for dinner...All'N'all it was a Great weekend...
Tomorrow starts another week...Thanksgiving week...
