Night-before-last we stayed in a WalMart parking lot with about 7 other RVers and a couple of truckers in Bakersfield on HWY 58... it was OK...but it was cold...and using the generator was OK but we didn't want to disturb other sleepers so we were about 40 degrees inside the coach when we got up in the morning

Then we proceeded from Bakersfield to Perris, CA...these pictures are of what we saw along the way....the hillsides and other topography were very interesting...we hadn't been on this road since the last time we went to Mexicali, Mexico...a long time ago!!! so everything looked different...
The arid desert is so different than anyplace we have been since we started in September...very dry...but very COLD!!!

The windmill hills were interesting...they are seen in Nor. Cal. too but they always impress me!!!

The vistas are dynamic...with the cold windy weather the views were great...
