I sure hope you guys start being able to see the posts that I post...it is alot more fun if I know you are seeing them...not to mention that this is the way I hope to keep you all abreast of where we are and what we are doing and seeing. Let me know how it is going!

This is a picture of one of the Pilot boats that come in to the docks in Astoria. They lead the ships in and out of the Columbia from the Ocean. They also carry the Bar Pilots and the River Pilots to and from the large ships that travel from Astoria to Portland, etc.














This is one of the smaller Pilot Boats...it is really fun to watch them do their stuff!!!














The next Picture and the one following were taken on the road up to Old Oak Ranch from Highway 49...you turn Left just before you get to the town of Sonora. Then you are heading toward the Gold Rush town of Columbia..Then youn turn right on Big Hill Road...go all the way to the top and there you are...

These beautiful sites can be seen on the way up! They are actually looking down off the mountain back toward Jackson and Angels Camp.
