Let the Travel BeginWell today was another one of those days that we just did normal things...got up...at 10:00AM for the second day in a row...go figure????? Mike gets up at 9:00???

Checked my e-mail, the "forum", and all the blogs that I follow...then we cleaned a little...had lunch...

Tallied the cost of living for the first 20 or so days on the road, so-to-speak.

Our Rent here is only for the Cable TV for two weeks, and that is $30.00. We have spent $571.94 on fuel...$45.00 at the KOA and $61.00 at the SKP Park in Sutherlin, OR. So that all adds up to $735.94...we still have a week to go but we will not need fuel or have a need to pay more rent so I think we are set!

The only other expenses that we have had was $20.00 spent on the replacement air hose for Mike's seat. Our groceries ... and stuff I just can't live without...Well, you know it's like moving into your first appartment ... you just need everything...NEW...!!!

Made some plans to do some more exploring...over to Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Hood, Seattle, The Sea Lion Caves, and what ever we can get to within 50 to a 100, miles from Astoria...So we will have lots more pictures to share and places to tell you about!

More tomorrow...oh yes tomorrow is SHOPPING day!!!

Next month we wil be at the KOA in Astoria for the whole month.

We made lots of headway I think...don't you?

    Mike and Charlie,

You two are having TOO much fun :-) Just kidding...this is exactly what the life should be! We are happy that you seem to be making the adjustment early on in this fantastic way of life.

Safe travels from your friends parked in Bemidji, Minnesota,

    Gordon and Juanita

gotta watch those expenses, especially the fuel. We stay away from the KOA and most of the higher prices parks. Try a COE sometime for better parking and more room. You will have a dump station vs a sewer connection but the other perks are worth it.
