Let the Travel Begin

Thursday, April 13, 2006

This picture was taken in Seaside, OR. at the end of the Promonade. It was a very stormy day and there had been very large swells and some fishing and crabbing boats were lost, as well as the crabbers and the fishermen. The winds had been blowing 50 th 75 miles per hour.

This one is of the Tillamook Head Lighthouse as seen from the area arouncd Cannon Beach, OR. Most of the time there is too much fog to see it...I felt very lucky to get this shot of it!

This picture was taken on the beach at the other end of the Promonade of Kaley riding her bike...if there was no fog behind her we could see the Tillamook Head Lighthouse in the distance from the other side of it.

    Charlie,

Love the photos and reports on your activities. Your pics have inspired me to order new digi SLR camera which should arrive here at our campground in Custer, SD, tomorrow 5/9. We have great WiFi here so have started some new posts to our blog. We have finally reached retirement speed, which is something that you will appreciate down the line when you get on the way. I hope Mike and I get a chance to try out our metal dectors together sometime. Mine is new and has not had much use because of our active schedule early on. Keep up the beautiful work on the Blog.
