Let the Travel Begin

Friday, November 10, 2006

Well, this is what our little world looks like in the middle of a storm...dark...wind blowing...wet...
It is still beautiful...just wet...This morning the wind was blowing that Scary blow...I hate that...but by the evening it stopped blowing...but we are still having showers... We got an 1 & 1/2 inches of rain today...THEY say that we will have a lull tomorrow and then on Sunday, Monday & Tuesday...we are in for another BIG storm! Worse than the last one, THEY say!...I can't believe it will be worse...They say 70 to 80 MPH gusts of Wind and 35 to 45 MPH sustained winds...and lots of rain...I feel so sorry for the folks that have lost all that they have! There are so many of them! This area has lots of people that have very little in the way os sustinance...They live in 5ers, TTs and can't even afford to move tnem out of harms way...one whole RV park in Tillamook way washed away...with about 24 familie's lives...they have no idea what they are gonna do now...

All of the critters must have taken to to back woods...the only thing I say today, was as little black bird with a top-not on his head playing in our fire pit!

We stayed home all day today and I worked on Christmas presents, Mike read and finished removing all of the tack strips in the bathroom and the staples as well as sanitizing the wood...oh yes he went to pick up our 5th battery today too...Tonight I went to a Scrapbook Class...It was great...but it is always nice to get back to my cozy little home!!!

Tomorrow Mike will pick up the sixth and final battery and then he can hook everyting back up and we will see what we will see...keep your fingers crossed...no say a prayer for us that all will be well in the world of electrical stuff in our rig...Toilet and all!!!!

Just so's y'all know "TAD" still looks great. He is suffering from a little "Change" anxiety...but he is keeping up appearances...as you can well see!

Be chattin' with y'll soon! Posted by Picasa

    Charlie and Mike,
Love the storm pictures but glad we're soaking up sunshine, not water. That looks like a nice park. We have stayed at Ft Stevens many times but never looked across the street. Ft Stevens is a nice park, but the dense forest there can be depressing during rainy periods. Stay buttoned up and dry.

From your friends in dry TX,

    Gordon and Juanita
