Mom...We are so glad you are home from the hospital...We are sure hoping and praying that you're lots bertter soon....We will see you NEXT weekend...
This the Christmasespresso be-decked Registration/store/espresso building the main erntrance of the KOA park where we have lived since the first of November...

We will be here only 5 more days...Marilee and Isabelle will be here on Friday the 1st...and we will leave on Monday the 4th...to arrive back in Sacramento on Thursday afternoon the 7th.

We will do many things and cover lots of visiting on the way home so stay tuned for the further adventures of the Mike and Charlie Dog and Pony Show... Posted by Picasa
This is a Research Center in Hammond, OR...I think that is a previously owned Coast Guard Building...seeings how 9it s really close to the River...the Port of Hammond is where the dock the Bar Pilot Boat...

We went down to the beach to see the Iredale... this is cool because you usually can only see the tip if the bow...but now that the storms have washed away alot of the sand you can see the ship from bow to stern

It was a pretty dark time of the day and we were pretty far away but you can see the size of the thing by the person that is standing on the left of thiis shot.

The waves were beautiful and gettiung kindof angry...the birds don't seem to mind!!!!!!!!!!!!! Posted by Picasa
We got out of the house...

This is a picture of our coach from the Laundry facility...that's where we went to cut Mike's hair today...it was way too cold to do it outside like usual...But the end justifies the means...he got it cut...now he doesn't look like a wooly mamouth any more!!!
Here we have a look at "Saddle Mountain" with snow and ice on it...it was once snow...but now I am sure that it is solid Ice...

Tomight there is a warmer storm coming in and will bring relief to the whole region but, it will bring Ice to the valley before the rain...here we already have the warmer rain...it is 44 degrees higher than it has beern in the day time in a week, and it is almost 10:00PM

We have gone to the East Mouring Bssin lots...but we neglect to photograph the sea lions...but today we couldn't pass them up...

Mike couldn't resist this "little" guy........They are huge!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Posted by Picasa

It was so "WHITE" and frozen out there that the pictures just wanted yo "WHITE OUT"!!!

But I think you can get the picture.....

Mom, I'm so glad that you came home from the hospital this evening...and I am also glad that it is not as cold down there as it is here!!!

Can't wait to see Marilee and Isabelle on Friday and all of you next week... Posted by Picasa

Here is the snow!!! As you can see it's not sticking much but it snowed almost all day! We stayed in all day!!! It was nice...Mike didn't even get dressed today...first time ever!!!

This looks like blizzard stuff!!!!

Now I will show you some of our decorating expertiese...

Mike hung all the lites for me...and now we even have more lites...There are lites in the holly swags, also the glittery snow flakes and glittery apples...

I'll take more pictures at a later time... Posted by Picasa
Here is the side view...look at that tree...it is leaning an aful lot...I don't remember if it was that way before the storms started...I will have to go back in my pictures and see...

It does look kinda pretty though...but let me tell you how cold it is...37...

I was hopeing that you could see the snow flurrie that was happening...
I guess you can see it a little...

Last night about 10:00PM that herd of Elk came through the park here...they walked right in front of our coach...I tried to take pictures but I was unsuccessful...But there was a Bull that was huge...he had 3 points on each side of his antlers...and he was georgous...I feel kimds like the fisjherman telling the story of the "fish that got away"...but...in our case...the Elk were really there...lots of them!!! Posted by Picasa
It is here...It snowed in the night...and continues to snow off and on...We are getting some breaks of sun but not much!

This the fiew from our front window this morning when we got up!
"TAD" looks good in the snow, don-cha think???
So does "Vetta". In this picture yu can see our lights in the front window. Posted by Picasa

Just the sign as you enter the base...we did not go into the base!

Those little ladies could clear that fence from a standing jump!!!

They were just so pretty...I loved watching them.

It is kinda funny to see the Elk next to the guns... Posted by Picasa
OK...We have been told for 4 years that there are "wild" Elk running loose in this country up here... but the only Elk that we have seen the Elk that live on the "Game Preserves"...That is until today...Suzanne and Kaley were on the way home from Seaside and saw a herd of about 25 Elk near Camp Rilea...So we went out to see and take pictures...

Lo and Behold...they were where and were they beautiful! On the left you can see one of the young bulls, there were three bulls and the reast were cows...we only saw two of the bulls.

Here is the other bull that we saw...is he pretty or what????

He didn't seem too happy with us cvlosing on his herd...so he was making sure that we kept put distance. Posted by Picasa
